How To Make MARTABAK
Ingredients :
> For the batter :
- 225 gram all purpose flour
- 30 gram sugar
- 1 egg
- 250 ml water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- extra sugar for sprinkling
>For the baking soda mixture :
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp water
>For the Topping
- Dark chocolate
- Butter
- Mozzarella
- Consended milk
Direction :
- First you should sift the flour, and after that add the sugar in the flour and mix well, add the salt and mix well, add the egg and mix, add the water in parts, mix the batter until it's clump free.
- When the batter is smooth, cover and let it rest 1-2 hours, there will be some bubbles.
- After 1-2 hours add the baking soda water mixture and mix well for about 3 minutes.
- Warm up the pan on medium fire, this is non-stick pan, put the batter in the pan, let it heat up for a minute then swirl it
- Turn down the heat to low/medium and slowly cook the martabak, slowly the bubbles will start to appear,
- When the bubbles start to pop, Sprinkle some sugar on top, after the whole surface is lightly sprinkled with sugar cover with a lid and steam for about 5-10 minutes on low heat.
- When the batter is done steaming, take the pancake off of the stove and onto a clean surface
- Spread butter on the surface then cover the half the martabak with shaved chocolate and cover the other half with shredded mozzarella, last drizzle consendant milk
- Finish cut the martabak in half, fold the martabak in half and cut into smaller pieces.
